Susan Boyle and batty behavior, they're never far from each other, are they?

This week British tabloids caught the Scottish singing sensation in a skittish mood, mugging for the camera in a way that can only be described as, well, bizarre.

Dressed in somber navy slacks and a red jumper decorated with a scarf and beaded necklace, Boyle couldn't stop grinning as the lenses captured her wildly throwing shapes. Maybe she was practicing her greeting having dealt with two local visitors that day?

It's not the first time the 48-year-old singer has exhibited bizarre impulses, and its a welcome reminder that, as well as being an amazing talent, she's also quite a vulnerable lady.

The silver lining is that, odd antics apart, Boyle seems to be genuinely enjoying her life at the moment.

Here's hoping it stays that way.
