Thanks to the 2013 household survey US Census data, you can now figure it out.
Here is what we discovered:
Catholics make up just 36 percent of Irish Americans with another 51 percent made up of different Protestant denominations.
Thirty-three million claimed Irish ancestry, with 3 million more claiming Scot-Irish. That's a total of 36 million.
