The reality TV star – who has two-year-old twin sons Bob and Max with ex-husband Charlie Sheen – is currently receiving in-patient treatment at an undisclosed rehabilitation clinic and friends say she is determined to beat her substance abuse habit as she doesn’t want to end up like the troubled British singer, who had a history of drug addiction and was found dead at home in London last Saturday.
A source said: “Amy’s death rocked Brooke to her core. Brooke didn't know Amy, but she relates to her addiction with drugs.
Brooke doesn't want to die, and she realises that if she continues to use drugs, she will. Brooke has been telling friends that she doesn't want to end up like Amy. Brooke is the most amazing person, with this horrible disease.”

Brooke is said to be filled with guilt at how her addiction is impacting on the life of her sons.
The insider added to RadarOnline.com: “She doesn't want them to be raised without a mother. Brooke is wracked with guilt that her addiction is ruling her life and taking away from the boys.”
Brooke has been advised to stay in rehab for three months but is hopeful she can leave before then.
The source said: “She’s been told that she needs to stay in rehab for at least the next three months. She is still resisting that recommendation, but her team is hoping she will recognise this is what she needs to do.”
