Rubbing shoulders with Hollywood’s finest, Prime Minister Enda Kenny met with ‘Lincoln’ Star Daniel Day Lewis and director Steven Spielberg last Sunday.
The two Hollywood a-listers met with senior members of the Irish Government this past weekend to discuss the country's film industry.
Tipped as one of the best movies of 2013, last week Day-Lewis scooped up a Golden Globe for Best Actor in ‘Lincoln.’
Spielberg and Day-Lewis, who became an Irish citizen in 1993, visited Dublin's Government Buildings for a meeting with Enda Kenny, Arts Minister Jimmy Deenihan and CEO of the Irish Film Board James Hickey.
Speaking about the meeting, Spielberg said the group had gathered to "talk movies", adding of Kenny, "He has seen lots of my films, not Lincoln yet, but all the other ones."
The ‘Lincoln’ duo were later joined by actress Sally Field at the star-studded Irish premiere of Lincoln at the Savoy Cinema in Dublin.
