Irish Designer Gifts is having a first anniversary sale with 50 percent of Irish Linen House, Foxford Woollen Mills, and Bunbury Boards until July 31, 2013.
The inspiration to set up Irish Designer Gifts in 2012, came from the creator of this online Irish gift store, Kathleen Cafferky, who saw a niche in the online marketplace to showcase contemporary Irish designed products. These products are available in stores in Ireland but were difficult to source online, for the Irish diaspora worldwide. The uniqueness of this store is that all the products are made and designed in Ireland by top designers.

Every designer has a story and is available on Our Designers page of the website which gives an insight into their creative existence. Kathleen always had an appreciation for Irish Craft and Design and is extremely aware of the time and effort that each designer takes to produce their exclusive piece for the marketplace for all to cherish.
Before setting up this business she sought assistance and advice from the Craft Council of Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and numerous friends who steered her into the creation of this unique Irish business. Historically, the Irish are a creative group of people and the journey in finding contemporary designed gifts for the store was both rewarding and inspirational.
Irish designers value their work preciously and Kathleen was delighted that by Christmas 2012, products from Irish Linen House in Dublin, Bunbury Boards in Carlow, Foxford Woollen Mills in Mayo and Bog Standard Candles and Soaps in Down were all available to purchase online from Irish Designer Gifts. This year has seen the arrival of Stradbally Jewellers from Waterford , Heraldic Gifts from Dublin and Susan Boland Ceramics form Kilkenny. Kathleen has been painting for a number of years and she also showcases her paintings in the store.
Irish Designer Gifts hopes to continue expanding by increasing their Irish designer base, whilst ensuring that the highest standards of quality and design are maintained. It will always be ‘quality’ over ‘quantity’ and visitors to the store can be assured that the products will be made and designed in Ireland by contemporary designers.
The US is still their biggest marketplace and they hope to promote themselves further into this market and also into Europe where there is an increasing demand for Irish designed goods. They appreciate feedback from their customers and take on board worthwhile suggestions to enhance the website for all future customers.
