Friends of the Sean Folan and Tom Clifford’s Ireland on the Move TV Shows have organized a fundraising dance on Friday evening, November 21, 2014 at the Irish Social Club, located at 119 Park Street in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. The event will begin at 8 p.m. and will feature the music of Erin’s Melody with Margaret Dalton.
The Sean Folan Show, produced by Sean Folan, originally from Inverin, County Galway, Ireland and a former member of Local 223, has broadcasted on Boston Cable since 1994 and for many years on Dedham and Milton Cable television. The purpose of the Sean Folan and Tom Clifford’s Ireland on the Move Shows is to preserve Irish Culture and language while entertaining the general public, broadcasting different and unique events both here and in Ireland. Both shows have also been a driving force promoting local charitable, sporting, and civic events in the United States and Ireland. Some of the excellent programming has even appeared on Irish television.
Both presenters have interviewed untold numbers of people at various events who have, in many ways, influenced the quality of life for those Irish, both here and in Ireland. The filming of these events and people’s contributions on film is so important in the preservation of today’s history of the Irish.
There are several ways you can participate in this worthwhile cause and help to preserve Irish culture and language in this country.
