Ireland has its fair share of artists who have produced incredible art pieces across the world. There are endless contemporary artists across Ireland that continue to enrich the Irish culture with their art. Here are nine contemporary Irish artists you should know about.
1) Richard Mosse
Mosse is a visual artist originally from Kilkenny. They are also a documentary photographer and filmmaker. You can find some of their work on instagram and personal website.
2) Conor O’Leary
O’Leary is a photographer originally from Wexford and are currently based in London. They have worked with The National Gallery of Ireland, The New York Times, Fader, Penguin Random House and much more. You can find his website here.
3) Duncan Campbell
Campbell is mostly a video artist originally from Dublin. They are based in Glasgow and was the winner of the 2014 Turner Prize.
4) Conor Harrington
Harrington is an artist and an inventive painter based in London. He was a former graffiti artist and still holds some of those elements in his more recent works. He generally works in gallery settings where he sets new boundaries and reinvents his own work. You can find his website here.

7) Ann Marie Webb
Webb is an abrtact artist who creates a new sense of space. She has completed an MFA in Painting at NCAD Dublin, and also has a BA in Visual Arts Practice IADT Dublin.
8) Lorcan Finnegan
Finnegan is an artist and filmmaker originally from Dublin. He has a visual book called “Granny Fashion” and has produced commercials, short films and music videos. You can find his website here.
