The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) has come up with a unique angle for Valentine’s Day . . . cat speed dating.
It is part of what they are calling Feline Friendly February, an opportunity to cut through red tape and adopt a cat before the big holiday.
The DSPCA’s center in the Dublin suburb of Rathfarnham will be turned into a speed dating center. Humans will be allowed to enter to cuddle the cats and bring them home if they want to once they pass the background checks.
As for the cats, if you fancy a date you can check them out on their own Facebook page.
You will find prospective companions such as Eleanor, Lizzy, Joey, and Snowball all waiting to be taken home by new suitors. A charge of $100 applies to adopt a cat, includes vaccination and neutering.
Sounds purrfect for all concerned.
