The "Tide Pod Shot" at Molly's Irish BarTwitter.com

An Irish bar in Bethlehem, PA created a shot inspired by a viral Internet craze – and people aren't happy about it.

The "Tide Pod Challenge" sees social media users posting videos of themselves ingesting liquid laundry detergent.

This ill-advised trend is causing serious reactions like poisoning and severe burning of the mouth and throat. Please note: Under no circumstances should Tide Pods be consumed or used for anything other than doing laundry.

The owner of an Irish bar in Pennsylvania has come under fire for turning the strange trend into a publicity riot for his business.

Molly's Irish Grille & Sports Pub in Bethlehem created the "Tide Pod Shot" comprised of blue Cuaraco, Baileys, and vodka with orange food coloring.

The business shared a video of the shot on their Facebook page, where it went viral and was subsequently removed by site moderators.

“We received more than 6.2 million views before Facebook took it down, but the word was already out there,” owner Charles Patrick told CBS Philadelphia.

He admitted that the shot drew a lot of attention to Molly's – and he even had people calling from Europe to ask about the shot.

The "Tide Pod Shot" costs $4.

A regular "Tide Pod" will set you back $0.22.
