O'Neill's Irish jerseys really do pop up in the most unexpected of places.

North West, the 11-year-old eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and her ex Kanye West, was recently photographed donning a vintage O'Neill's jersey.

"I’m hanging with the cool kids," her aunt Khloe Kardashian said on Instagram alongside the photo of her, North, Kim, and Penelope Disick.

O'Neill's Sportswear was quick to respond to the Instagram post that Khloe shared with her more than 307 million followers.

"Does this mean Collab?" the iconic Irish brand commented on Khloe's post, along with a handshake emoji. The comment has drawn hundreds of likes.

It's unclear why North was sporting the O'Neill's jersey - which some believe is a vintage Juventus top - but we can't help but wonder if it's linked to her parents' equally unexpected honeymoon in Ireland in May 2014. (The couple, once known as 'Kimye,' has since divorced.)

Either way, O'Neill's has seized on the publicity, reminding people that North West is just the latest in a long line of celebs who have been spotted in the Irish brand's merchandise.

Indeed, O'Neill's says that everyone from Ed Sheeran to Coolio to Bill Murray to Will Ferrell has been spotted wearing the Irish brand's merchandise, in addition to legions of spectators spotted at some of the world's top sporting events.

Of course, there's also Irish actor Paul Mescal, whose (short) GAA shorts triggered a fashion phenomenon in 2020. He later donned a pair of GAA shorts in a spread for GQ, while luxury brand Gucci started selling their own version of the garment.
