Fans of the Merc with a Mouth have been recreating the NSync "Bye Bye Bye" routine in their droves since "Deadpool & Wolverine" landed in cinemas and the Irish duo decided to give it a go but in their own style.

Combining Irish dancing with the pop routine, the video has amassed more than a million views already and the actor's post to his Instastories likely helped get it more exposure.

The brothers, Michael and Matthew captioned the video: "Very 'Deadpool', very demure 😉 #byebyebye #deadpool #trend #gardinerbrothers #reels" playing on the latest "demure" trend online.

They also commented: "Can we get @vancityreynolds and @thehughjackman to try this version? 😉"

While neither star commented back, the co-owner of Wrexham AFC did share it to his stories with a flame emoji, to the delight of the Gardiners.

The Irish duo are five-time world champions, performed as lead dancers with Riverdance, and have worked with brands worldwide.

But their talents weren't always praised by their peers, telling EVOKE that they stuck with the Irish dancing in spite of the cruel teasing they had to endure from other teenagers.

Michael shared: "Growing up as a dancer it can be tough sometimes and you get the odd comment here and there. Kids can be nasty sometimes, but Matthew and I both played sports as well.

"We both played soccer and Matthew was amazing at tennis and basketball. A few other things as well. We just had to remember to let it roll off our back and we also used to use [Michael] Flatley as an example sometimes.

"He was great to just be like, 'You think that's funny or you might call it a different name and you just have to look at Flatley and he was just killing it!' He was a millionaire at the time of his Irish dance. A total icon."
