Travis Kelce, the Super Bowl-winning boyfriend of megastar Taylor Swift, has been pictured wearing an unexpected Irish souvenir - a Garda cap!

Kelce is wearing a navy Garda cap in a picture recently shared on Instagram by Summit Hogue, a close friend of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Summit and his wife Miranda, as well as Patrick and his wife Brittany, were recently on hand to cheer on Kelce's girlfriend Swift as her smash hit Eras Tour continues through Europe.

Kelce is believed to have been wearing the Garda hat while in Amsterdam, where Swift performed to sold-out crowds on July 4 - 6, right after her trio of sold-out shows at Dublin's Aviva Stadium on June 28 - 30.

Kelce's Irish souvenir, which he was likely gifted, appears to be the same one that is typically worn by An Garda Síochána’s Public Order Unit, also known as the Riot Squad.

As per An Garda Síochána's 2022 Uniform and Dress Code, members of the Public Order Unit - while on duty and dressed in the official public order uniform - shall wear the Official Garda Baseball Cap at all times when the official helmet is not worn.

An Garda Síochána implemented a massive operation ahead of Swift's three sold-out Eras Tour concerts in Dublin.

The NFL superstar arrived in Ireland on Sunday, June 29 to catch the last of Swfit's three shows in Dublin.

There's plenty of speculation that Travis flew to Dublin to "surprise" Taylor at her concert, but that remains unconfirmed.

As is typical of any Taylor Swift concert, photos and videos began to flood social media of Sunday night's VIP tent at the Eras Tour, which featured Travis rubbing shoulders with none other than Julia Roberts and Stevie Nicks.

After the show, Taylor and Travis and their entourage headed to the Hacienda Bar in Dublin for some post-gig celebrations that owner Shay Duignan said turned into "a late one."

Later that week, Travis joined his brother, former NFL player Jason Kelce, on their "New Heights" podcast where he chatted about his brief time in Ireland.

In teasers ahead of the season two finale, Travis was pictured wearing a green IRFU jersey, much to the delight of his Irish and Irish American fans.

However, during the podcast, Travis told Jason he wasn't entirely sure what jersey he was wearing but thought it was for Ireland's national rugby team.

He wasn't wrong - the green jersey is indeed for the Ireland national rugby union.

The two continued their conversation about Ireland, where Jason gushed about both Gaelic football and The Guinness Storehouse.
