Still haven’t found what you’re looking for this Saint Patrick’s Day? Can we make a suggestion? Go along to hear the music of U2 as sung by the top singers on Broadway this Monday, March 16.

All of New York loves a Broadway belter, and in March all of Broadway loves the Irish, but this will be true as never before as Scott Siegel (creator of The Town Hall’s Broadway By The Year series) and Maxine Linehan (star of Beautiful Songs at the Metropolitan Room) present The Songs of U2, a star-studded St Patrick’s Eve concert event to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.

The one night only concert will take place at 9:30 PM on Monday, February 16 at Birdland Jazz Club in New York (315 W. 44th Street). Tickets are $30-$75 and are available by visiting BirdlandJazz.com or by calling 212-581-3080.

As Irish fans already know U2 is one of the world's best-selling music bands of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide, winning 22 Grammy Awards (more than any other band) and in 2005 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility.

New York’s most celebrated Broadway and Nightclub Stars will perform the music of U2 on the Birdland stage.

Irish-born Maxine Linehan, whom Stephen Holden of the NY Times described as “fiercely talented,” The Huffington Post called her “Glorious” and The Irish Voice said was “a once-in-a-decade revelation” will host the concert.

Scott Siegel and Maxine Linehan produce this benefit concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, with musical direction by Ryan Shirar and Andrew Koss.
