THERE'S a tradition in Ireland that says that women can propose marriage to men on one day only, February 29, and that the guy has to say yes. Now, one of Hollywood's cutest stars, Amy Adams, is going to show us how it's done.

Not in real life, though. Adams has signed on the dotted line to star in a film called Leap Year, which will start shooting next February in Ireland.

Adams has romantic comedy in her bones, as her star turn came a couple of years back in the wonderful Enchanted. Now she's down to play an uptight lady who travels to Dublin to pop the question to her beau on the leap day of February 29, hoping that the Irish fable will hold true.

But, lo and behold, the Irish weather intervenes with her plans - it is wintertime, after all - and Adams' character has to rely on help from a cranky Irish innkeeper in order to make her marriage happen.

The film was written by the duo that penned Made of Honor earlier this year. That film starred Adams' Enchanted co-star, Patrick Dempsey.
