Fans that come to the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” next week will get another exciting showing: the teaser trailer and poster for Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises."

A “teaser trailer” is a very short trailer that’s usually released quite far in advanced, in order to “tease” the audience. Oftentimes, it’s a series of confusing advertisements and people speaking, and always leaves the audience wanting to know more. “The Dark Knight Rises” teaser trailer is reported to be 33 seconds long, according to SuperheroHype. The actual movie doesn’t come out until July 20, 2012.

The original 2008 “The Dark Knight” movie, which starred Heath Ledger before he unfortunately passed away, is estimated to have grossed over $1,001,921,825 worldwide as of December, 2010, according to IMDb. The film won an Oscar in 2009 for “Best Achievement in Sound Editing” and “Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role. The latter was awarded to Heath Ledger post-humorously.

The new movie will feature Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman, amongst other notable actors.
