THE usually unkempt Bob Geldof sure cleans up nice, as our picture shows. Sir Bob and his long-time ladyfriend Jeanne Marine were guests at the Vienna Philharmonic Ball last week, and don't they make a most attractive couple.

Geldof, 56, tossed the jeans and sneakers aside in favor of tails adorned with his collection of medals symbolizing his honorary awards, including his British knighthood. His French partner also didn't disappoint in the sartorial department, looking elegant in her ball gown and diamond tiara.

The couple were guests of an Austrian media mogul, and they certainly got into the spirit of the night. When in Austria do as the Austrians do, and that can only mean one thing - waltz. Bob and Jeanne did just that, showing some fancy footwork on the dance floor by all accounts.

Though Geldof doesn't live by the motto all work and no play, he certainly knows how to tend to business. A story in last weekend's Sunday Business Post revealed that the former Boomtown Rat was paid *1.2 million from Castaway Productions, a media company he owns with two other shareholders.

Castaway owns the worldwide rights to the granddaddy of all reality shows, Survivor, so it seems a safe bet that the company will churn out the profits for some time to come.
