Britney Spears is adoring every moment of her forthcoming Britney special episode on Glee, so much so she couldn't wait to show her fans the pictures of her on set.

The troubled pop singer struck a pose with Glee co-star Lea Michele yesterday which she quickly posted to her Twitter page.

But even before she met the cast, Spears was raving about the experience: 'About to do my first shot of the day for Glee tweeties! Here we goooo!'

After the filming, Spears posted a quick snap of herself on the show, telling her fans: 'What's up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can't wait for you guys to see the episode!'

When Spears appearance was confirmed, the show's Irish American creator Ryan Murphy said the episode would only explore her music and not delve into her personal life at all.

Spears meltdown in 2007 which resulted in her shaving her hair off led the young singer to admit how difficult her life had become as a celebrity under the constant glare of the press.

Realizing how tough things had been for her, and not wanting to add to it, Murphy said Glee's producers were handling Britney with kid gloves.

The new Britney episode will air in the fall.
