Irish author Cecelia Ahern is set to see yet another one of her beloved novels hit the big screen.
Like many, you may have first been introduced to Ahern’s work when her book "PS I Love You" was adapted into a hit film starring double Oscar-winner, Hilary Swank, in 2007.
Her second book, "Where Rainbows End," was also adapted into the movie called "Love, Rosie".
Now, her work is being taken to Hollywood once again, with a third film in the works.
Cecelia’s 2005 novel "If You Could See Me Now" is currently in the pre-production stage of filming and will star "The Fault In Our Stars" actor Ansel Elgort.
The adaption is also set to be directed by Catherine Hardwicke, as per Deadline.
The hit novel follows the life of businesswoman Elizabeth Egan, whose life turns on its head when her imaginary friend Ivan enters the picture.
The synopsis of the book reads; "Elizabeth Egan’s life runs on order: Both her home and her emotions are arranged just so, with little room for spontaneity. It’s how she counteracts the chaos of her family — an alcoholic mother who left when she was young, an emotionally distant father, and a free-spirited sister, who seems to be following in their mother’s footsteps, leaving her own six-year-old son, Luke, in Elizabeth’s care.
"When Ivan, Luke’s mysterious new grown-up friend, enters the picture, Elizabeth doesn’t know quite what to make of him. With his penchant for adventure and colorful take on things large and small, Ivan opens Elizabeth’s eyes to a whole new way of living. But is it for real? Is Ivan for real?
"'If You Could See Me Now' is a love story with heart—and just a touch of magic."
Sharing the exciting news on social media, the author wrote "One of the best Christmas gifts an author could receive."
