Cillian Murphy is set to star alongside Thandie Newton in a new island thriller called “The Retreat.”

The film will tell the story of a couple who rent a cottage on a remote island, trying to save their marriage. A soldier in a biohazard suit is washed up on the beach and tells them that everyone on the mainland has been killed by a virus.

Shooting for the thriller will begin in Wales in September.

Mr. Murphy can of course be seen in the cinema at the moment as one of the stars of Christopher Nolan’s “Inception."
