Colin Farrell has been crowned perfectmatch.com’s “Hottest Single Celebrity Dad.” The Irish hunk topped the poll carried out by the dating website, and can now add that title to the long list of accolades he has received over the years.

The dashing Dubliner edged out “Miami Vice” co-star Jamie Foxx, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart and Yankees star Alex Rodriguez to win.

Dr. Pepper Schwartz, the site's chief relationship expert was delighted with the choice made by the public.

“Because Colin has lots of attitude — that makes him very male, very enigmatic,” she said.

“In addition, Colin’s relationship with his son James, with ex-girlfriend model Kim Bordenave, is very special as his son has a rare genetic condition… Colin understands what it takes to nurture and be there for his child who needs more care from him… The once ‘wild guy,’ who is now also a dad, proves that sexy and responsible can go hand-in-hand.”

Farrell, who has often talked of how important it was to him to be a good father to his son, can be seen next in the Terry Gilliam-directed "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus."

This movie also enhances Farrell's good guy image. Heath Ledger was playing the lead role before his untimely death, and Farrell, Johnny Depp and Jude law stepped in to finish the move and donated their fees to Ledger's daughter.
