James Bond’s next rival has been ‘revealed’ in new research as Colin Farrell - while Cillian Murphy and Barry Keoghan follow as top contenders.
As rumors continue to swirl around who could be following in the footsteps of Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan and Roger Moore, the top contender for James Bond’s next villain has been predicted as Colin Farrell in new research from Betway.
Betway used a supercomputer to determine who would most likely be clashing with 007 in the next film. The predictions are based on various characteristics of past actors, such as their gender and age at the time of the movie.
Leading Irish actor Colin Farrell could be appearing as the next villain in the next Bond release, boasting the highest chance at 15.8%. With the second-highest chance of 13.8%, "Dune" star Oscar Isaac followed behind as another contender for the role.
After winning many awards for his performance in "Oppenheimer," and with fans awaiting his return as Thomas Shelby next year, Cillian Murphy wasn’t far behind as a prediction for Bond’s next enemy with 9.6%.
Barry Keoghan, who has had his fair share of film success with "Saltburn" and the "Banshees of Inisherin," the Dublin-born star earned his place in the top four contenders for the role with an 8.5% chance.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who was speculated to be the next 007, was also a high contender (7.3%) for Bond’s upcoming foe, alongside Pedro Pascal (8.2%).
Meanwhile, Betway research found Stanley Tucci (3.6%), Emma Corrin (3.8%), and Willem Defoe (3.4%) as the least likely stars to appear in the upcoming release as the newest Bond rival.
