BOB Geldof's teen daughter Peaches, a fixture in the British gossip columns, tried to impersonate dad by being a rock star last week, but her mini-set at a London club didn't go down a treat with her fans. The 19-year-old played bass during a three-song set, and according to the Daily Mail, she tried to be the supreme punk rocker by flinging a keyboard at the end of her set.
The paper also reported that Peaches freaked out at the size of the audience and the waiting photogs at the venue, and that it took promoters more than an hour to coax her onto the stage. (Wouldn't struggling bands love to have such a problem!)
"Once on stage she dropped the microphone and forgot some lyrics before she headed for the exit door," said the paper. "The band seemed to enjoy themselves throughout their riotous three songs - although the performance was not appreciated by the audience."
Don't cry for Peaches, though. She's got lots of A-list friends on the London social scene, and has had previous career shots as a deejay and a journalist.
