This lucky Aer Lingus passenger received a very special birthday gift in the form of her favorite singer, Donegal crooner Daniel O’Donnell.
An English news channel may not have known who he was, referring to him simply as an “onlooker” during their coverage of Pope Francis’ visit to Ireland recently, but this fan certainly knew who Daniel O’Donnell was when he surprised her on an Aer Lingus flight.
The passenger, Annie, was celebrating her special day on the flight and so, with her favorite singer already on board, it was a given that he was going to make his way to the flight intercom to give her his best wishes.
The lucky fan even received a hug and a kiss afterward!

This isn’t the first time that O’Donnell has given us a surprise singsong either. In May 2017, he wowed his niece’s wedding with a “Catholic flash mob,” leaving the young bride and the congregation in tears.
