The Irish singer who has sold over 15 million CDs and DVDs worldwide has made his mark on America with his 12th PBS concert special, “From the Heartland”, which has generated much success airing in over 87% of US households and generating 1083 telecasts during the March 2013 fundraising drive.
The “From the Heartland’’ concert was taped before a live studio audience at The Maytag Studio Auditorium in Johnston, Iowa where Daniel sang crowd favorites such as “Stand Beside Me”, “Only This Moment Is Mine” and “Our House is a Home”. He topped off his performance with a heartfelt rendition of “Moon River” as a tribute to the late Andy Williams.
Fans can expect the added enjoyment of seeing Irish singer Mary Duff join Daniel on stage for their duet of “Blanket on the Ground” and the up-tempo solo “Pick Me Up On Your Way Down.”
The Irish crooner also sings several seldom-seen recordings like “Distant Drums,” “Waiting on the Farside Banks of Jordan” and engages his audience in a fun and charismatic show.
Daniel’s “From the Heartland” CD will be released on May 7, 2013 and will be available through traditional online and digital retail outlets.
