Dermot Kennedy made a surprise appearance at Noah Kahan’s sold-out concert at Dublin's 3Arena last night, Thursday, February 8.

Kahan, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter from Vermont, teased his "very special guest" while performing his hit song "Northern Attitude."

The crowd went wild when Kahan welcomed Kennedy, the Irish singer-songwriter noted for hits including "Power Over Me" and "Outnumbered," on stage to finish out "Northern Attitude."

Fan-captured footage of the special moment showed fans passionately singing along with Kahan and Kennedy:

Kahan and Kennedy have been hugely supportive of each other's music careers in recent years, so much so that Kahan was Kennedy's special guest during the UK leg of his Sonder tour last year.

Announcing that Kahan would be joining him on tour, Kennedy shared a clip on Instagram performing Kahan's "Northern Attitude" - a bit of a full-circle moment considering Thursday night's surprise duet.

"This song by @noahkahanmusic is crazy beautiful," Kennedy said in 2022.

Kennedy isn't Kahan's only Irish supporter - Grammy winner Hozier, a native of Co Wicklow, recorded an official "Northern Attitude" collaboration with Kahan last year.

Kahan's Dublin gig on Thursday night appears to have been well-received by his Irish fan base, especially after he ruffled some feathers a few weeks ago when he revealed a piece of merch for his Irish stop that said "Dublin, UK."

When he was called out on social media for the glaring error, Kahan said: "Yikes I will let my team know."

As The Irish Times notes, Kahan acknowledged the snafu on Thursday night during his song "All My Love," telling the Dublin crowd with a laugh, “It wasn’t my fault directly, but I still f**ked up."

Later during Thursday's show, Kahan proclaimed: “I love this city so much. Dublin, I would die for you."
