Dubliner Tristan MacManus has said he is humbled by his new found fame on “Dancing with  The Stars

Speaking to WetPaint.com he said it was delighted to see there was no much interest in show.

“It’s nice that we’re entertaining people,” he said

“Someone even set up a fan page for me, it’s crazy! I went on there and sent a thank you message but I don’t go on there as soon as I get up in the morning. I don’t want to get obsessed with it,” MacManus added.

“It doesn’t embarrass me but it’s not something I expected. My friends back home have made fun of me a bit, but it’s just friendly banter. I’m getting joking messages from my mates asking if I’m busy ‘putting on my dancing shoes,’” he laughs.

The talented dancer is partnered with New anchor Nancy Grace and has been helping her to hone her skills week after week.

“It’s fun – I’m still just trying to get used to it, I’ve been teaching for a long time but I’ve never experienced anything like this.”

The Dubliner admitted he had never heard of his dancing partner Nancy Grace, prior to the contest. Grace is a well known legal commentator and TV host.

“I didn’t know who Nancy was before so it’s just another person for me,” he said.

So far the reaction from his newfound stardom has been all positive he admits.

“The attention is grand, it’s not been affecting my life in a bad way and no one is being intrusive,” he said.

“It’s nice to be able to put that work in and then talk about it afterwards,” he continued. “It’s like meeting your mates in the pub to talk about your work day, only this time it’s just to the press and on TV.”
