"Finian's Rainbow" will close its doors on Broadway in January.

The musical, which received a stunning review from The New York Times, will close on Jan. 17 after more than 90 performances.

The revival of the classic 1947 musical was hailed as a stunning criticism of the modern credit crisis.

It opened Oct. 29 and is featured a leprechaun with very dodgy fashion sense, a stolen pot of gold, a wily father and a Irish heroine.

Producers blamed "the economic realities of Broadway today" for the closure and said they had hoped to stay longer at the St. James Theatre.

"Finian's Rainbow" stars Jim Norton, Kate Baldwin, Cheyenne Jackson, Christopher Fitzgerald and Chuck Cooper.
