OUR old pal Michael Flatley was a big hit last week during his two-night turn on Dancing With the Stars as the show's first-ever guest judge. He made such a good impression that now he's being spoken about as a new judge on the U.K. show Strictly Come Dancing, the original celebrity dance reality show that initially spawned DWTS.
Strictly was just voted the best reality show in Britain and, like it's American sibling, grabs huge ratings each week. Last week on DWTS Flatley filled in for Len Goodman, who flies back and forth from LA to London each week (along with Bruno Tonioli) to film both programs.
Goodman, 61, has admitted that such a grueling travel schedule has taken its toll and that one day he may have to choose between the two programs. Given that the American salary is way heftier than what he gets in his native Britain, it'd be a good bet that Len would choose the almighty dollar.
There were media reports in the U.K. last week that the Strictly powers that be loved what Michael brought to the judge's table, not to mention his own still incredible footwork which he showcased on Tuesday night during a routine he performed from his Celtic Tiger show.
"If Len or any of the other Strictly judges quit you can bet Michael will be asked on board," one source told the Daily Star newspaper.
Michael was quite generous in his praise of the celebrity hoofers last week, and it's clear from the lavish praise and perfect 10 he gave to Brooke Burke that he feels she's the one to beat.
