Games of Thrones: Starbucks cup appears in a scene in episode four of the final season and fans are not happy.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to the mark last night spotting a Starbucks cup in a scene of Game of Thrones. The cup appeared on the banquet table in the medieval, fantasy drama and was quickly identified as belonging to the coffee-chain giant.
Fan reactions were mixed as some claimed that it justified complaints about a falling in standards as the series comes to a close.

You're telling me they had TWO YEARS to put together a decent show and they couldn't even spot the goddamn Starbucks cup in Winterfell??!?! #GameOfThrones pic.twitter.com/8opg7nyydv

The fact that there was a Starbucks cup in tonight’s Game of Thrones that no producers or editors noticed throughout multiple cuts merely 1 week after the DP yelled that the show’s not too dark to see is truly *chef’s kiss*

Others were quick to make their jokes and to claim how there really could be a reason for it all ...
Surprised ppl joking around about the Starbucks cup on Game of Thrones. When our props guy on Catastrophe (Kevin Sloane) left a Red Sox cap on a counter in a scene I had him fired that day & blacklisted as well. He died a few weeks later of what doctors called “a broken heart.”

People should wait till the series finale of Game of Thrones before they jump to the conclusion that the Starbucks cup doesn’t belong.

Starbucks, presumably very happy with the free advertising accidentally achieved in the episode watched by 17.8 million last night alone, suggested that maybe Daenerys should try their dragon drink.
TBH we're surprised she didn't order a Dragon Drink.

HBO was also quick to make light of the mistake stating: “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”
