Hozier has again been snubbed by the Grammys, which released its list of nominations for the 2025 awards earlier today, Friday, November 8.

Thanks to his hit song “Too Sweet,” Hozier became the first Irish artist to top Billboard Hot 100 list since 1990 earlier this year.

The song, from the Co Wicklow native’s EP “Unheard,” debuted at number five on the Billboard list on the week of April 6, climbed to number four the following week, and then number two before finally landing in the top spot.

The same week he hit the top of the Hot 100 list, he also topped the Billboard's Global 200 list.

Despite the song's success, Hozier missed out on a Grammy nomination for 2025.

The Irish singer-songwriter continues to have had only one nomination - Song Of The Year for 2014 for his breakout hit "Take Me to Church" at the 57th Grammy Awards.

Hozier's diehard fans shared their disapproval about the lack of a Grammy nomination on social media on Friday:

i can't believe im seeing hozier being 100% snubbed from the grammys after he had one of the most successful songs of the year what the actual fuck

However, one act who will be flying the flag for Ireland at next year's award ceremonies is Fontaines DC who is nominated in the Best Rock Album category for their latest release "Romance" and the Best Alternative Music Performance category for their song "Starburster."

The Dublin rock group was previously nominated in the Best Rock Album category in 2021 for "A Hero's Death."

Meanwhile, the longshot Grammy nominations for Irish kid rappers Kabin Crew and Lisdoonvarna Crew and their smash hit song "The Spark" sadly didn't come to pass. They had been longlisted in the Best Dance / Electronic Recording category and the Song of the Year category.

The 2025 Grammy Awards, officially known as the 67th Grammy Awards, will take place live at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 2, broadcasting live on the CBS Television Network and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+.
