Bloggers, journalists, and influencers flocked to the launch of the Huawei P20 Pro Twilight to Ireland at The Iveagh Garden Hotel on Harcourt Street. Despite its just-released status, the eagerly awaited smartphone is nearly sold out countrywide.
Why? You ask. It's largely due to the phone's ultra-slick camera which is the highest quality ever in a smartphone – a 40MP Leica Triple Camera (you heard correctly, there are three cameras which is a first) powered by AI to be precise. Yes, that's right Artificial Intelligence has now reached your mobile phone, which means that no matter the who, what, where of your picture you can simply point and shoot and the camera does the hard work for you.
Plus the super-cool gradient color makes it probably the most 'grammable phone ever.
The Twilight is also being lauded for its exceptional low-light capabilities boasting one of the most advanced nighttime modes on the market. In fact, the name was inspired by the Northern Lights constellation.
Host on the day, Doireann Garrihy, talked the Irish press through the many boons of the new model; the most awesome feature being the hardcore battery life – just 15 minutes of charge will give you enough juice for a whopping 24 hours!
And for those who are hesitant to leave the safety of iPhone, never fear, Huawei is compatible with Apple devices plus the nifty Phone Clone app means you can transfer all of your important data from your old smartphone with a single tap, down to the passwords auto-saved on your old phone.
We couldn't leave before snapping a few pics of the Insta-worthy surroundings of the Iveagh Gardens Hotel, ogling the Twilight themed cocktail bar, indulging in some sweet treats and trying our hand at some flower crown making with Appassionata Flowers.
