Matthew McConaughey went back to his Irish roots during an interview with Irish national TV station, RTE.

Urged on by the interviewer McConaughey attempted an Irish accent and used several Irish slang words. He is Irish on both sides. His mother is Kathleen McCabe, from New Jersey, and his Dad James Donald McConaughey, ran an oil pipe supply business and is a former professional football player.
