We are thrilled to welcome Irish Comedian Colm O’ Regan to the New York Irish Center, as part of the 1st Irish Theatre Festival 2014 for two shows only on Friday 12th & Saturday 13th of Sept to perform his hilarious side-splitting stand up comedy show, Ireland’s got Mammies. Colm brings the world of the Irish Mother to life in a unique and dotey way. Exploring topics ranging from tea towel hierarchy to the importance of a ‘Safe Place’ for things, this show will make you see Mammy in a new light. If she’s around bring her along. But give her plenty of notice. Warning –this show may be best accompanied with tea and a bun.

It sprang from the equally successful @irishmammies twitter account which Colm authors. Set up in early 2012, the account has more than 76000 followers making it one of the top 40 accounts in Ireland.
His comedy festival appearances include the prestigious invite only Montreal Just For Laughs, the Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Electric Picnic and many, many more. He has played all over Ireland and the UK and even as far away as Cape Town, Tokyo and Osaka and appeared on The Late Late Show. Colm with his sharp wit, was master of Ceremonies at the New York Irish Center’s annual fundraising event in April of this year, and left the crowd in stitches and begging for more for more.
