Just when we thought we couldn’t love Irish dance more Prodijig go and blow our minds.
Earlier this month the contemporary Irish dance group got together with the RTE Concert Orchestra, at the Cork Opera House, and performed Irish dance to Vivaldi’s piece “Winter,” from “The Four Seasons.”
Although the light blocks some of the performance you have to agree the footwork in this dance is just out of this world.
So far the clip has over 32,000 views and it's easy to see why.
It’s a far cry from dancing the "Ballaí Luimní" (also known as “The Walls of Limerick”) at the local céilí!
Prodijig, with Alan Kenefick as their lead dancer and choreographer, came to the public’s attention in 2012 when they won the United Kingdom televised competition “Got to Dance” with their unique take on Irish dance. In 2013 Prodijig performed the sci-fi Irish dance show “Footstorm” in Ireland and the UK and currently they’re seeking out new talent through their summer boot camp. Who knows what’s next.
