There's nothing we love more than when Irish stars join forces for a project, and Kerry Condon and Andrew Scott are giving us just that!

The "Banshees of Inisherin" actress and the "Fleabag" star have teamed up with Oscar winner Brendan Fraser for an upcoming film, "Pressure," which will follow the story of the build-up to the D-Day landings during World War II.

Per Deadline, BAFTA winner Kerry will portray Allied Supreme Commander Dwight D Eisenhower's "trusted aide Captain Kay Summersby" in the thriller, which is due to begin filming in the UK in September.

Brendan Fraser will star opposite Kerry as future US President Eisenhower.

Meanwhile, Andrew will play Britain's Chief Meteorological Officer James Stagg, "whose job it was to inform Eisenhower of weather conditions that would make or break their Normandy invasion."

The synopsis for the upcoming project reads: "In the 72 hours leading up to D-Day, all the pieces are in place except for one key element - the British weather.

"Britain's Chief Meteorological Officer James Stagg is called upon to deliver the most consequential forecast in history, locking him into a tense standoff with the entire Allied leadership," it continues.

"The wrong conditions could devastate the largest-ever seaborne invasion, while any delay risks German intelligence catching on."

"With only his trusted aide Captain Kay Summersby to confide in, and haunted by a catastrophic D-Day rehearsal, the final decision rests with Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D Eisenhower," the synopsis continues.

"With only hours to go, the fate of the war and the lives of millions hang in the balance."

It sounds like we'll be first in line at the cinema to watch Kerry Condon and Andrew Scott in action in "Pressure" when it comes out!

It's rather remarkable that director Anthony Maras has been able to pin down not one, but two Irish actors for the upcoming project, considering our talented bunch have been practically run off their feet in recent times.

We mean, Paul Mescal has a starring role in "Gladiator II" and is rumoured to be portraying Paul McCartney in a biopic about The Beatles, in which he'll reportedly star opposite Barry Keoghan's Ringo Starr.

On the other hand, you've got our Oscar winner Cillian Murphy geared up to reprise his role as Tommy Shelby in the "Peaky Blinders" film.

And on the back of the success of "The Banshees of Inisherin," Kerry Condon's set to put on the performance of a lifetime opposite Brad Pitt in the 2025 film "F1."

Meanwhile, Andrew Scott's going to star in the Netflix franchise "Knives Out" alongside huge names in the industry from Daniel Craig and Kerry Washington to Jeremy Renner and Glenn Close, not to mention our very own Daryl McCormack.

Whew... Keep it up, lads!
