Award-winning actress and playwright Laoisa Sexton’s ‘For Love’ is to premiere at the Irish Repertory Theatre in Manhattan with previews set to begin March 13.
Starring Laoisa Sexton; retired pro boxer turned actor John Duddy; Kilkenny award winning native Jo Kinsella, and ‘Waiting for IKEA’s’ Georgina McKevitt, ‘For Love’ is a dark blue romantic comedy. The play follows three women in recessionary Dublin who are throwing down their handbags and looking for love, no matter what it costs.

Directed by Tim Rudd, the show had its world premiere last September in the 1st Irish Theatre Festival, as part of its Next Generation Play Series of new plays by new Irish playwrights, and was named "Pick of the Festival" by Irish Examiner.
After its run at Irish Repertory Theatre, the show goes to Ireland, opening at The Derry Playhouse, in as part of UK City of Culture 2013, followed by a national tour with performances at The Grand Opera House in Belfast, Theatre Royal in Waterford, and two venues in Dublin: Axis, Ballymum and The Viking Theatre.
