THOUGH they've departed Donegal for Istanbul to continue their summer holidays, Sarah Jessica Parker and her hubby Matthew Broderick have an Irish ally who's none too pleased at how the paparazzi hounded them during their stay at their holiday home. Councilor Brendan Byrne said Kilcar was happy that the family maintains a place in the area which they visit every year. But the commotion among the shutterbugs has got to stop, he says.
"Regrettably over the last number of years there has been a certain amount of media intrusion with photographers and journalists both from the national and U.K. media closely watching their movements," said Byrne.
"On behalf of the local community I would like to deliver this message to the paparazzi - you are not welcome in Kilcar." (The local B&Bs providing housing and pubs/restaurants with the sustenance might disagree with that sentiment, but we digress.)
One photog actually camped out for a couple of nights in an elderly lady's garden thinking it was where SJP and Matthew were, only to have the owner come out clearly not looking like Carrie Bradshaw!
