Liam Neeson has been confirmed to star in "Clash of the Titans 2" and "Battleship".

It has been confirmed that following the success of "Clash of the Titans" earlier this year the second installment will begin filming. Producer, Basil Iwanyk has said that it will begin shooting on February 1st 2011 in the U.K. He also confirmed that Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson would all be returning.

Neeson has also signed up to star in "Battleship" directed by Peter Berg. So far the confirmed cast includes Neeson, Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgaard and Rihanna. The film's story "takes place across land, sea and air and sees the planet fighting for survival against an alien invader known as The Regents.”

It is reported that Liam Neeson will play Admiral Shane. His daughter, played by Brooklyn Decker, is engaged to the film’s naval officer hero, played by Kitsch. The movie is scheduled to hit the theater on May 18 2012.
