‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ is upping its funny factor as it boasts an impressive list of cameos.
Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Irishman Liam Neeson have all been spotted on set for the ‘Anchorman’ sequel. They’ll be joining some of the film’s original cast - including Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and Christina Applegate - in the much anticipated sequel that is due out this December.
Fey and Poehler’s exact roles in the film have yet to be confirmed, but they were photographed apparently filming a scene where they were hitting Sacha Baron Cohen with crowbars. It would seem the news anchors’ rivalries continue from the original to the sequel!
Liam Neeson’s role has not been confirmed yet, either. On May 6 he was photographed in costume at the Atlanta, Georgia set.
Hollywood veteran Harrison Ford is also included in the second round of ‘Anchorman.’ Of working with Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate for his scene, Ford said the experience was “bizarre.”
Other cameos expected in the film are from Nicole Kidman, Kristen Wiig and James Marsden. In the first ‘Anchorman,’ notable cameos came from Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller.
Steve Carrell, who was in the original ‘Anchorman,’ said to VH1 that, "It is a perfect sequel to the first one. I'm really excited about it.”
