PIERCE Brosnan is a man of many talents, and he proudly showed off one of his new ones, singing, at a wrap party last week for the film Mamma Mia!, which he stars in along Meryl Streep. The movie, based on the hugely successful Broadway show of ABBA tunes, will be released next July 18. It was shot in London on the Greek island of Skopelos, and though the cameras have stopped rolling the stars felt like belting out a few of those catchy ABBA numbers they had to learn as they said goodbye until the premiere.

Once Pierce finished his stint on stage, Streep got up and sung "Dancing Queen."

"Shooting (that song) was probably the most fun," she laughed. "It'll take your head off."

So, is Brosnan in line to be a Pavarotti, or is he best left to singing in the shower on his own? Mamma Mia! creator and co-producer of the film, Judy Cramer, puts its like this: "He sings brilliantly. He does a sexy Springsteen-style thing."

Pierce, though, isn't so sure of himself. "When people ask me what I am doing next, and I say Mamma Mia!, a look of shock comes across their faces," he said a while back. "Then they ask, 'Do you sing?' But so far, I've gotten away with it."

We're sure audiences will more than agree come next summer!
