Miss Ireland 2007 was crowned last weekend in Cork.

The 21-year-old Blathnaid McKenna is quite a stunner, though it's hard to tell by the accompanying photo due to the pile of feathers she's plopped on her head. (What is it with European women and hideous hats?) McKenna also qualifies as an all-Ireland winner, as she hails from Co. Derry. She's smart as a whip - an English and French graduate of Trinity College in Dublin - and at 5'9" she'll certainly look the part when availing of all the modeling contracts and promotional opportunities that are sure to come her way.

Blathnaid beat out 30 other contestants for her crown. Next stop China, where she'll represent the country in December at the Miss World pageant.
