PIERCE Brosnan has his sights set on a new leading lady - for his upcoming film, that is. Angelina Jolie, according to reports, is Pierce's choice to star in The Topkapi Affair, which is a sequel to his hit film The Thomas Crown Affair. (Rene Russo was the femme fatale in that one.) "Pierce is keen to turn the Thomas Crown films into a long-running series of movies. He believes the Crown character has the potential to have the same appeal as Bond, especially with a beautiful leading lady like Angelina," says a source to The Sun in the U.K.

The film is supposed to start filming in Egypt and Russia next year, after Pierce wraps his starring role in the film version of the ABBA musical Mamma Mia! Meanwhile, a new leading lady in tennis, Wimbledon finalist Marion Bartoli of France, has her eyes firmly set on Pierce. She's not looking to romance the married hunk, but rather he provided her with a source of inspiration when she defeated the top seed in the tournament, Justine Henin, in the semifinals.

Brosnan was at Wimby for the event, and Marion definitely took notice.

"I saw Pierce Brosnan in the crowd, which is one of my favorite actors. I love his movies," she said.

"I said to myself, it's not possible to play so bad in front of him. Because he watch me and I play so bad it was unbelievable. So I try to feel it a bit more, the ball, play more smartly. I saw he was cheering for me, so I said, 'Oh maybe it's good.' I kept going and I won, so maybe a little bit for Pierce Brosnan."

Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Smith made the best of their time at Wimbledon. They also got some face time with the reigning men's champ Roger Federer.
