Pierce Brosnan filming new Western “Unholy Trinity” with Samuel L. Jackson

Pierce Brosnan is starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson in Richard Gray's upcoming Western "Unholy Trinity."

The film, written by Lee Zachariah and described as a "tale of revenge, dark secrets and buried treasures," is currently shooting in Montana after securing a SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement.

Set against the turbulent backdrop of 1870s Montana. the story begins just before the execution of Isaac Broadway, as he gives his estranged son, Henry (played by Brandon Lessard) an impossible task -- to murder the man who framed him for a crime he didn’t commit.

Intent on fulfilling his promise, Henry travels to the remote town of Trinity, where an unexpected turn of events traps him in town and leaves him caught between Gabriel Dove (played by Brosnan), the town’s upstanding new sheriff, and a mysterious figure named St. Christopher (Jackson).

Brosnan's most recent films include "The King’s Daughter," "Black Adam" and "The Out-Laws."

The Irish star will next will be seen in the action-thriller "Fast Charlie", opposite Morena Baccarin and the late James Caan. 

Brosnan is also set to appear in the drama "Places, Please" with Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates and Lily Rabe; an adaptation of the Niall Williams' novel "Four Letters of Love" co-starring Helena Bonham Carter, Gabriel Byrne and Fionn O'Shea; and the action thriller "The Last Rifleman."

The Irish Mirror reports that the Co. Meath actor had been pictured looking noticeably different while filming scenes for "Four Letters of Love" in Northern Ireland earlier this year.
