The former Ireland skipper is known to have his pet hates, most famously with the old story of why he neglected to sign Robbie Savage for Sunderland.

The 52-year-old has been showing his personal side of himself more often now that he is a podcast co-host and he’s offered up a real classic on the latest edition of "Stick to Football."

Keane revealed that he absolutely cannot stand people who park their cars illegally, especially when those at fault are well capable of paying whatever relatively minor fine comes their way.

"People that have a few quid and just park wherever they want – double yellow lines or disabled bays – and just take the ticket off because they can pay that," Keane began.

"How rude is that? It’s so rude, parking where they want. It’s real arrogance.

"'I’ve got a nice car, I’ve got a few quid, I’ll just park in a disabled place'. They just walk away and they get a ticket […] rude."

The Corkman then revealed that he is a one-man vigilante squad when it comes to punishing those who commit such parking sins.

Keane revealed that he twists the wipers and rotates the wing mirrors of those he spots committing the offense – leaving the drivers with some extra work to do when they return to their car.

"I just pull their wipers up so that when they get in the car, they have to fix them,’ the former Man United skipper continued.

"That’s what I do, especially the back wipers, as they get in the car and then have to get out again to fix them.

"I do the same with their wing mirrors, so they have to get out again and fix the wing mirrors, too."

“I pull their windscreen wipers out!”
