Among the A-list celebrities at the Monday night’s annual Costume Institute Gala was Irish acting sensation Saoirse Ronan who wowed the crowd.
Ronan joined Rihanna, Paul McCarthy, Beyonce, J-Lo and Madonna, to name a few at the fashion equivalent of the Oscars which was held in Manhattan’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, where stars honored the late Alexander McQueen.
The 17-year-old wore a red Rodarte gown, Jack Vartanian earrings and a Neil Lane bracelet.
Sarah Jessica Parker attended the event with her husband, Mathew Broderick and spoke fondly about the late designer on the red carpet.
“The last time I brought a date I was with Lee and we walked up these steps, he was shy, he was not comfortable all the time in environments like these,” she told reporters.
Wearing an Alexander McQueen design, she told a New York Magazine reporter the dress made her feel “lucky”.
