POPE Benedict warrants yet another mention on "Page 2" this week courtesy of the one and only Sinead O'Connor, who's no stranger to having her name linked next to that of the Pope because of her infamous picture-tearing incident on Saturday Night Live 15 years ago. Sinead shred a picture of Pope John II to bits after completing her stint as the show's musical guest, and the outrage that ensued after the incident is still a favorite topic for interviewers to follow up on all these years later.

Would Sinead, now 40, rip Pope Benedict in the same way? Not likely, but not because she learned some sort of lesson from that last time.

"I don't think this pope is as beloved as the last one," she said during a round of interviews in Canada last week, where she was performing. "It wouldn't even be noticed if anyone ripped up a picture of this one. I don't think (anyone) would bat an eyelid.

"He's a bit clinical, isn't he? I actually had a lot of fondness for the last one, the same as everyone else did, you know."

She sure had a funny way of showing it, but she sure has no regrets.

"To my dying day, apart from having my children, that's the thing I'm proudest of," she says.

Sinead also revealed that her next album will be totally opposite her current release Theology, which is full of spiritual songs. This girl can really rock when she wants, as she's proven so many times in the past, and she's ready to do again.

"I want it to be the polar opposite to this record. A lot of noise," she says. Can't wait!
