You may not be able to get down to the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in D.C. celebrating the cultural treasures of Northern Ireland over the next 10 days, but it doesn't mean you can't catch a glimpse of it via the internet. On Saturday, June 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. you'll be able to watch a webcast of some Northern Ireland talent like Patricia Flynn, Four Men and a Dog, Len Graham and Jack Lynch, Lee Lawson, Robert Watt and Mark Wilson.

They will also feature on the new Smithsonian Folkways recording Sound Neighbors: Contemporary Music in Northern Ireland that has been produced in conjunction with the festival curated by the New York folklorist Nancy Groce for the Smithsonian Institution based in Washington D.C.

The webcast will be a live stream available at http://www.smithsonianglobalsound.org/2007_festival_webcast.aspx.
