Heavy described what happened when the ruckus broke out.

"We could see a crowd gathering, looking up toward where he had gone, so we assumed someone had recognized him," Heavey said.

But it wasn't so. In fact, most folks didn't notice him.

"Steve Buscemi was standing there completely unnoticed... He stood over the guy on the ground for a few seconds, and the fight naturally broke up after that... He tried to help, which is more than most people would do," Heavey said.

Once the situation calmed down, Buscemi left the scene.

In May this year, Buscemi was attacked on the streets of New York. A homeless gentleman, named Clifton Williams (50) was charged with second-degree assault.
