This year has been without a doubt the year of the viral Irish dance wedding videos and we’ve decided that this masculine show of prowess is most definitely our favorite.
It seems that these former “Lord of the Dance” troupe members don’t need much of a push when there are a few drinks and a dancefloor involved in a wedding celebration.
Our favorite video (above) now has over 800,000 views on YouTube. This clip was recorded as the wedding of Rob Wilson and Mairead McCargo, in Belfast, over the summer.
“Forget Flatley, there's a new Lord of the Dance in town...” says the YouTube blurb and we couldn’t agree more.
It continues, “Wedding reception plus boozing plus top-quality Irish dancing? Ladies and gentlemen, we give you Liverdance...”
Coming in a close second is a man we should all be keeping an eye on and should have Michael Flatley prepared the thrown. David Geady’s solo performance is fantastic and nearly defies believe.
Next up is a truly amazing performance, again by pro “Lord of the Dance” performers.
Posted by a very proud brother, Jp O Meara, from Nenagh, County Tipperary, the video shows a full troupe of professional Irish dancers giving it socks on the dance floor. And of course the bride and groom are the stars of the show.
