Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, discussed his visit to Ireland with his brother Jason Kelce, the recently retired center for the Philadelphia Eagles, on their latest "New Heights" podcast which debuted on Thursday, July 3.

Travis arrived in Dublin on Sunday, June 30 to cheer on his girlfriend Taylor Swift as she performed her third and final concert of her sold-out three-night run at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

There's plenty of speculation that Travis flew to Dublin to "surprise" Taylor at her concert, but that remains unconfirmed.

As is typical of any Taylor Swift concert, photos and videos began to flood social media on Sunday of the Eras Tour VIP tent, which this time featured Travis rubbing shoulders with none other than Julia Roberts and Stevie Nicks.

After the show, Taylor and Travis and their entourage headed to the Hacienda Bar in Dublin for some post-gig celebrations that owner Shay Duignan said turned into "a late one."

On Wednesday, Travis delighted his Irish and Irish American fans when teasers from this week's podcast were released and showed Travis donning a green IRFU top.

However, Travis told Jason during the podcast he wasn't entirely sure what jersey he was wearing but thought it was for Ireland's national rugby team.

He wasn't wrong - the jersey is indeed for the Ireland national rugby union.

Interjecting during the jersey discussion, Jason said: “Have you seen Gaelic football played?”

When Travis said he hadn't, Jason continued: “Not to go on a tangent, but in Havertown [in Pennsylvania, where he lives], there’s like a bunch of Irish inhabitants and they have like a Gaelic football club that competes over in Ireland.

“And I’ve watched it, it’s an electric sport to watch.

“It’s kind of like soccer and football mixed mixed together, it’s weird.”

Intrigued, Travis said he’d have to “check it out.”

Jason was likely referring to the Delaware County 'Delco' Gaels that are based in Pennsylvania. The club runs both youth and adult programs and was named the USGAA's club of the year for 2023.

The brothers’ conversation then segued back to Travis’s time in Ireland.

“I got to go to a pub, have some Guinness," Travis said, prompting Jason to excitedly ask if Travis went to the Guinness Storehouse, but sadly Travis didn’t.

“I’m not a big tourist guy,” Travis said as Jason gushed about how good the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin is.

“I like to randomly wander,” Travis said.

Jason retorted: “I agree but there are some touristy things that are there for a reason. The Guinness Factory, they do a good job.

“The whole story of that brewery and like how it happens - I know it’s a touristy thing, but they do it right.”

Jason went on to say that he last visited Dublin in 2015 with his parents, as well as his wife Kylie and his in-laws “because they’re all Irish." (Kylie, whose maiden name is McDervitt, showed off her Irish dance skills around St. Patrick's Day this year, videos of which went viral.)

“The best part about Ireland is just going to random, hole-in-the-wall pubs that like all the locals go to, in my opinion," Jason said. “You get to just go and interact with all of them.”

Wrapping up their chat about Ireland, Travis said: “It was a blast.

"Got to hang out at a pub, got to have some Guinness on draft over there - basically just beer milkshakes, delicious.”

“Dude, it’s so good,” Jason agreed.

Travis added: “And then I had one - my new favorite dessert shot, which is a Baby Guinness.”

Jason had never heard of the shot, so Travis explained: “I call it a dessert shot because it was literally - I think it’s Baileys, Guinness, and maybe a whiskey shot in there, like a little bit of whiskey in there.”

(We must interject here! A Baby Guinness is typically made with Baileys and a coffee liqueur, such as Kahlua or Tia Maria. Sometimes, the coffee liqueur is substituted for for Sambuca.)

Travis added: “Ireland was fun, Ireland was a good time.

"I’ll tell you what though - once you get off the plane, they have the thickest f---ing accents that I’ve ever heard in my life.”

Jason said: “They do. Especially if you catch one of these guys that like - I think it’s brogue, is it?"
